Procida Island was one of the places I wanted to visit the most in Italy. Mainly because this is where my all time favorite movie “The Talented Mr.Ripley” was filmed, ha! I used to watch the movie every night like a little kid and dreamt about going there ever since. Anyways, we weren’t planning to go to the island that day because of a rainy forecast, but it cleared up by noon (thank god!) so we jumped on a ferry at little after 1pm. It took about 40-50min from Naple port by hydrofoil and it costs about 15 Euro to get there. Click Read More to see more pictures!

今回の旅行で絶対行きたかった場所プロチーダ島の写真を載せたいと思います。ここはナポリ周辺の島の１つで有名所はカプリ島だけど、私はどうしてもこのプロチーダに行きたかった! 理由は私の大好きな映画 The Talented Mr.Ripley が撮影された場所だから☆ 南イタリアの魅力満載のあの映画を見てはいつか行きたいと願っていたのでこの旅行が決まった時には絶対に南にも行きたかったのです。ちなみにナポリに泊まったけどソレント宿泊でもよかったなぁ。ナポリ滞在中の天気予報が雨続きで心配だったけど結局初日のみ雨で後は晴れてくれた! あぁ感謝。でこの日も雨予報だったけど昼前には晴れてきたので急遽ナポリ港からプロチーダへ。フェリーで40分位で着いて片道の値段は一人15ユーロ程でした。下記クリックすると写真が見れます


We only had about three hours in the island, but maximized our time thanks to the kindest taxi driver. Thank you, Antonio! He has lived in Procida island for many years and knew all the little paths (and movie film locations!). He took us everywhere with his little taxi. 

帰りのフェリーの関係で島にいれるのは３時間弱だったけど、親切なタクシードライバーのアントニオが島の観光をしてくれたので短い滞在だったけど見所を全部見れた! 後(この際一番知りたかった)映画撮影の場所もまわってくれて満喫



This is the prettiest little fisherman’s port you can see on the first photo.  

一番最初の写真に写ってるカラフルな漁港。上の漁師さん以外誰もいなかった本当に小さな所だけどローカルな感じですっごく良かった!


This is one of the locations where The Talented Mr.Ripley was filmed. I think where Jude law was playing ball game? We can see the yellow church on the movie. 

ここはMr. Talented Replyの映画撮影が行われた場所。黄色の教会が映画にも写ってて確かジュードロウがボールのゲームをしてるとこ。


Oh, and this is the beach where another very famous italian movie “Il Postino” was filmed. It says “Welcome to Postino Beach”. I’ve heard it’s such an amazing movie. I haven’t been able to find the movie, but will watch it soon for sure.   

有名なイタリア映画イル ポスティーノが撮影された所。すごく良い映画だと聞いてたので行く前に見たかったけど見つけられず、、もう1度探してみよう。




It’s a very small island and it took us about one hour by taxi to look all around. We could stay longer, but had an amazing few hours in the island.

カプリ島やイスキア島に比べるととても小さな島なので1時間ちょっとでタクシーで大体の見所は見て回れました。観光客も誰も見かけず(真夏はいる様だけど)島の人の暮らしがそのまま見れてとてもよかった☆ この周辺に行く事があったら是非お勧めです。
