Colosseum is one of the places Omar wanted to visit during our Italy trip. I didn’t have much expectation; however, it turned out to be my favorite place we visited in Rome (I know now why it’s a must-visit place!). I mean this massive place built with concrete and sand from almost 2,000 years ago? Unbelievable. I watched ‘Gladiator’ yesterday for the first time and had to post this place. Such a great movie too! (I know I’m so late.)

コロシアムはオマーが特に行きたいと言ってたので半日観光を事前に予約してた数少ない場所。＊後もう１つはバチカン観光。両方共すごく並ぶとの事だったので(実際すごい人だった)観光オプションを付けて正解でした。後やはり色々な歴史を学べるし☆ 私はまぁ別に行ってもいいよ〜位な感じだったけど行ってみたらすごく良かった。見れて良かった! 約2000年も前のコンクリートと砂で作られたこんな巨大な建物が今もほぼ完全な形で残ってるなんて、、ここで行われてた事を考えると恐ろしいけど古代ローマ帝国の力を目の当たりに。。昨日始めてグラディエーターを見た所で忘れないうちに写真載せてみます☆

Look what I received! Akiko Hiramatsu, successful fashion illustrator/blogger based in Japan sent me her beautiful style book “Fashion Holic Way“. There are lots of useful information and advice about fashion, interior decor and lifestyle from her illustrations / pictures. I literally read it all through in one day! I’ve been a huge fan of her and am looking forward to meeting up again when I go back to Japan. Congratulations! I will read this book over and over again in a future. *Oh and her another book about Franz Kafka was great to read and so interesting too!
尊敬する大好きなイラストレーター平松昭子さんから最近出版されたスタイル本「ファッションホリック道」が届いた! 早速ちょっとだけ読んでみようと読み始めた所止まらず一気に読破。 着こなしのアドバイスや小物の使い方、インテリアまで昭子さんの写真 & イラストと共に使えるアドバイスが沢山載っててお気に入りの一冊に☆ 最近モノトーンの服ばかりなのでカラフルな着こなしにも良い刺激をもらいました。ファション好きの方にはもちろんあまり興味のない方でも見てるだけで女子力あがる一冊です☆ あっ後もう一つフランツカフカと言う小説家の生涯を昭子さんが漫画で書き下ろした「絶望名人カフカの人生論」もとっても面白かった! ユーモアのある昭子さんのイラストと彼の絶望的な感じがいい感じにマッチしててこれも一気に読破。カフカと言う方知らなかったけど、昭子さんの本を読んでとても興味が沸いたので彼の小説も今度読んでみたいと思ってる所です。素敵な本の出版おめでとうございます!

procida island
Procida Island was one of the places I wanted to visit the most in Italy. Mainly because this is where my all time favorite movie “The Talented Mr.Ripley” was filmed, ha! I used to watch the movie every night like a little kid and dreamt about going there ever since. Anyways, we weren’t planning to go to the island that day because of a rainy forecast, but it cleared up by noon (thank god!) so we jumped on a ferry at little after 1pm. It took about 40-50min from Naple port by hydrofoil and it costs about 15 Euro to get there. Click Read More to see more pictures!
今回の旅行で絶対行きたかった場所プロチーダ島の写真を載せたいと思います。ここはナポリ周辺の島の１つで有名所はカプリ島だけど、私はどうしてもこのプロチーダに行きたかった! 理由は私の大好きな映画 The Talented Mr.Ripley が撮影された場所だから☆ 南イタリアの魅力満載のあの映画を見てはいつか行きたいと願っていたのでこの旅行が決まった時には絶対に南にも行きたかったのです。ちなみにナポリに泊まったけどソレント宿泊でもよかったなぁ。ナポリ滞在中の天気予報が雨続きで心配だったけど結局初日のみ雨で後は晴れてくれた! あぁ感謝。でこの日も雨予報だったけど昼前には晴れてきたので急遽ナポリ港からプロチーダへ。フェリーで40分位で着いて片道の値段は一人15ユーロ程でした。下記クリックすると写真が見れます

gucci museo
We just came back from our Italy trip about a week ago and made so many great memories there! What a beautiful county. Here are the photos of the most random place we ran into in Florence: Gucci Museo. I’m not a huge Gucci fan, but so glad we took time to look around. We could learn their long history of the brand and see the collections from early accessories to gorgeous dresses which many cerebrates had worn. There are a book store and Gucci cafe next to it too. It’s not a big museum, so it took less than an hour to look all around. * Information below
オマーとイタリア旅行に行ってきました。知り合った頃からずっと一緒にイタリアに行きたいと思ってたので今回一緒に行けて嬉しかった〜☆ どの街も素敵で久しぶりに沢山写真も撮ったので少しづつ載せていきたいと思います。で写真を見てたんだけどあまりに多くてちょっと挫折(前どうやって選んでたっけ…?)なのでまず分かりやすく紹介できる場所を載せてみます。このグッチ博物館(?)は存在自体知らず通りすがりに立ち寄ったんだけど、ブランドの歴史や歴代のコレクションがセンス良く飾られていて中々見応えありました。特別グッチファンではない私もとても楽しめたのでグッチファンならたまらないはず☆ フィレンツェと言えばまずルネッサンス時代のアートだけど、又違った歴史が見れて◎でした。入場料 7ユーロ ＊住所等は下記記載
This feather dress was beyond amazing (I forgot who wore it but the screen behind it shows the pictures of cerebrates in a Gucci dress).
クチュールドレスがケースにも入ってなく間近で見れて圧巻。このドレスだれが着たのか忘れてしまったけど、後ろに見える画面でセレブがグッチドレスを着てる映像が映し出されてました。
I still remembered the Bamboo collection. It was a huge hit in Japan back in 90’s..!
懐かしのバンブーバッグコレクション。第二次世界大戦で皮が手に入らず代わりに竹を素材を使ったのが最初らしい。日本でもものすごい流行ってたなぁ
