I’ve been trying to post this for a while, and so happy that I finally finished the illustration for eat drink americano. One of my co-workers once told me “he just had the best sandwich he’s ever had” and he meant this restaurant. So I went and I agreed. So delicious. Besides food, can’t help loving the industrial style decor with wooden chairs, lots of brick and a huge chalkboard wall. You should definitely check this place out if you are in the area (arts district LA downtown) * FYI. closed on Sunday.

かなり前から描き始めてたのにイラストが中々終わらず、やっと載せれて嬉しい! 久しぶりのレストラン紹介は LAダウンタウンのarts districtにあるeat drink americano。今までイラストに描いたバゲットやフラットブレッドのサンドイッチを食べたけどどれも美味しいっ。食べ物を乗せてくれるウッドボードもインテリアと合っていておしゃれな雰囲気で素敵な所なのでこのエリアに行ったら是非お勧めです。*注 : 日曜はお休み

While in Japan, my friends from college celebrated our wedding at a french restaurant in Hiroo area in Tokyo. All the food were beyond amazing from foie gras appetizer to the chocolate eggshell with ice cream for dessert (even looking at this photo makes my mouth water!). I’m so happy that I have the group of friends we’ve known for a long time since teenager, and still remain tight. One of the best memories Omar and I had there. Thank you so much for this amazing lunch and bunch of gift! Can’t wait to see them soon.

日本にいる間大学時代のお友達が予約してくれてた広尾の素敵なフレンチレストランで結婚のお祝いしてくれました~ 嬉。皆小さい子がいたり仕事があったりで忙しいのに帰る度に集まって会える楽しい大切な仲間☆ 今回オマーと一緒にお祝いしてもらえて本当嬉しかったなぁ。フォアグラのアペタイザーから写真の卵の殻風?チョコレート&アイスのデザートまでどれもすっごく美味しくて写真を見て又思い出してる所。。もう出会ってから○○年も笑経ってるなんて思えない＆これから先も変わらず皆で集まれるのが楽しみっ。色々素敵なギフトもありがとう！早く又皆で集まりたい☆

Very first place Omar and I visited here in Japan was Tsukiji fish market. After exploring the fish market, my friend took us to an amazing sushi restaurant in Ginza named ‘seamon‘. Professional sushi chefs with bold hair welcomed us and served amazing sushi. I was too busy eating and talking to take pictures, but managed to take a few. Best sushi ever! This place located very close to Sukiyabashi jiro from Jiro dreams of sushi, and we of course took a look at the restaurant too (Jiro was there!). I’m not going to lie, we’ve been eating some of the best meals ever since we came to Japan. Many celebrations and happiness. Thank you so much for an amazing lunch. :)

今回は日本が始めての旦那様が一緒なので普段はあまりしない観光を楽しんでる私。まず最初に行った築地で場内外を観光した後、銀座で働いてるお友達が素敵な江戸前寿司屋さん鰤門に連れて行ってくれました嬉。オマーはもちろん私も銀座の本格江戸前寿司は始めてで感動、見た目も味も美味しかった☆ 数枚しか写真撮れなかったけど他にも沢っ山、一品料理も美味。帰りにはお友達の旦那様に近くにあった’すきやばし次郎’（アメリカで人気のドキュメンタリー Jiro dreams of sushi のお店）にも連れて行ってもらったりですっかりお世話になってすっごく嬉しい楽しい素敵なランチでした。どうもありがとう!

Can you believe February is almost over? I’ve been quite busy lately, but sometimes feel like I haven’t been able to get anything done. I’m pretty sure why. Because my thoughts are all over the place..! I jump from one thing to another and not concentrate whatever I do at the moment. When I was watching Olympic figure skating, I thought whatever I do, I should take it as a jump or spin (I know what I do is not that difficult at all). But you know? Try to clear one thing at a time. I was so touched by Mao Asada’s skating, and have been watching it many times ever since. Obviously.. ha! *The photo were taken at Food lab a while ago.

あっと言う間に２月ももうすぐ終わりだなんて… オリンピック見てましたか？冬期は夏より競技が少ないせいかアメリカでも日本選手をかなり放送してくれたので結構見れました。特にフィギュアスケートは楽しかった! 真央ちゃんの演技には感動してネットでも何度か見ちゃった。普段やる事が沢山あるとあれもこれもと１つの事に集中してない事が多々あるのでちゃんと１つ１つをクリアにして行きたいと真央ちゃんのフリーのジャンプを見てて思った所。まぁ比べるのも何ですが。。スポーツ選手は本当にすごいっ *写真は少し前にFood labで撮ったものです

If you follow me via instagram, you probably know that I love brunch on the weekend. So among many choices in LA, my second post of la eat goes to Little Next Door (first post here). This cute french cafe is located trendy west third street and next to the sister restaurant The Next Door (which I haven’t tried yet). I drew more desserts on my illustration *just because I love drawing sweets!, but there are far more brunch/lunch menu choices too. Brie and fig sandwich is my favorite and even tried to copy it at home (it was good but not as much). Anyway I highly recommend this pretty restaurant.

このイラストを描くのに中々時間がかかりご無沙汰になってしまったけどお気に入りレストラン２つ目を載せたいと思います(１つ目はここ)。LAの人気フレンチレストラン/カフェLittle Next Doorはフレンチだけあって可愛いデザートも沢山で（描いてないけどマカロンも充実!）ランチメニューも美味しいっ。エッグベネディクトも人気だけどフィグ&ブリーチーズのサンドイッチがすごく好みで美味しかった。それに店内の雰囲気がすごく可愛い＆素敵なのでテラスでのブランチはとってもお勧めです☆
