I’ve been thinking about posting something like..’a city guide’ which I can introduce you to my favorite places. I love reading a blog that I can feel the atmosphere of wherever they live or travel. So I decided to start posting my favorite place to eat (or maybe to shop?) with my illustration. Hope you enjoy! First place is The Pie Hole in downtown LA. I go arts district quite often, and love every pieces I’ve eaten either dessert or meal pies. This place is definitely a must go if you’re in the area!

色んな人のブログを読むけどその人の住んでる街や旅行先の様子が分かる記事が好きで日本の方のLA旅行の記事とか住んでる私が知らない所を紹介してたりで面白い☆ で私のブログは為になる様な記事もないなぁと何か始めたいと思ってたので、これから私のお気に入り店をイラストで紹介してみようと思います。始めはダウンタウンにあるThe Pie Hole。よくこのエリアに行くのでランチしたりデザートを食べたりしてるけどどれも美味しい☆ 店内もおしゃれでarts districtに行く事があったら是非!

I’ve started having fun posting (sort of) related images together. These photos remind me of japanese flag.. just orange version! The first photo was taken during brunch at BJ’s. The next is a fun wall in LA downtown. The last one was at Urth cafe in West Hollywood. It’s been so hot in SoCal, and would love to have this cold gazpacho soup again. right now. .

何となく似た様な写真を一緒に載せるのにハマっているこの頃。この写真達は日本の国旗を思い出す様な（オレンジバージョン）。。最初の写真はBJ’sでのブランチ。２枚目はLAダウンタウンの可愛い壁の前で。最後の写真はUrth cafe のランチ。ここ数日すごい暑さで又この冷ガスパチョスープが（今）飲みたい。。

This was the only photo I could take at Tim Burton’s exhibition at LACMA (No photography allowed inside). I already saw it in NY about a year ago, but I’m so glad that I went to see it again here in LA. There were thousands of his illustrations and short films, and I was so amazed by his imagination and creation. I strongly recommend this exhibit especially if you like his movies.

LAのLACMAへティムバートンの展示会へ。中では撮影が禁止されてたので入り口で撮った唯一の写真。１年位前にNYで見たのでどうしようかと迷ったけど、LAの方が会場の大きさも展示数も多かった様な？とにかく見に行ってよかった！学生の頃に描いたものから最近の物まで多数のイラストとショートフィルムが見れて刺激になりました。とってもお勧めです。

My friend and I had to take a photo when we found this art work? in front of LACMA like many other people there. We took several photos but most of it came out like the first one and couldn’t stop laughing seeing it. Finally we both got it and I think it looks kind of interesting.

LAの美術館LACMAの前にあったオブジェ。人が群がって写真を撮ってるのをみて私達も撮ろう撮ろうと中に入ってみたものの何枚か全て最初の写真の様に何も写ってなく爆笑。でもカメラを撮る側のヒモは手で押さえる技術を得て無事ちょっと不思議な？写真が撮れました。

I’ve heard of this place often lately and finally had a chance to go there the other day. I ordered their signature “umami burger” and it didn’t fail to meet my expectation. It was delicious (especially love the mashroom) and made me want to try other menus.. Oh and the umami ketchup (?) for french fries was so good too.

最近気になっていたumami burger へ。色々噂に聞いていたけれど、私はとても好きでした（特に挟まってるマッシュルームが♥）。後ポテトに付いてきたケチャップが美味しかった。普通のと何が違ったんだろう。。？
