Ever since I bought this mini springform pan set, I can’t stop using it when it comes to baking a cake. I’ve tried a vanilla cake, funfetti cake already, so I decided to bake an ombre one which I always wanted to try (It could be six layers cake, but three is enough for me for the first time..!). I used my favorite this vegan chocolate cake and coconut milk whip cream. It’s so yummy and love the little cute surprise when we cut the cake!

この3つセットのケーキ型を買ってからスポンジケーキ系を焼く時は必ず使いたくなるお気に入り。小さくて可愛いし最近縦長?のケーキに惹かれるので既に何度か使ったけど、今回始めてグラデーションケーキに挑戦してみました。5色位あると豪華になるけど初なので3色で、、大好きなこのビーガンチョコケーキとココナッツクリームで作って相変わらず軽くて美味しいっ。見た目はあえてシンプルにして切った時にグラデーションが現れるのがお気に入り☆

I added about 1/4 cocoa to the middle one, and 3/4 to the darkest one. *The lightest one has no cocoa, but because I used brown sugar, it looks darker than a regular sponge cake.

目分量でやっちゃったけど、分量の大体1/4位のココアを真ん中の色、 3/4を一番濃い色に足しました。一番薄いのにはココアは入れず小麦粉だけだけどブラウンシュガーを使ったので普通より濃い目の色になりました

Here are two of my favorite cookie cutters recently. Who doesn’t love an Ice cream corn and cupcake (right?) These are so sweet looking and it’d make perfect Valentine’s day cookies! You can add a heart shape of course. Hope you’re having nice start of February!

前にも少し載せた最近のお気に入りクッキー型 x2のアイスクリームとカップケーキ型☆ この２つを使うだけで可愛い感じになるしデコレーションもしやすいのでお勧めです。これは少し前に違うギフト用に作ったんだけどバレンタインっぽい気がしたので~~無理矢理~~バレンタインデークッキーとして載せてしまいます。ちょうどピンクだし。。これにハート型を加えたらばっちり! と言う事で.. もう２月だ〜

* I used to use #2 & 3 tip for icing, but prefer #2 size only now.
* 以前は#2と3のチップを使ってたけど最近は2だけのが綺麗に仕上がる気がしてます。

Time went by so fast this month, but had a good first month of 2015. A lot more to come..! Here are instagram photos I’ve posted lately. Because I started akrDesignStudio‘s instagram too, my instagram addiction has grown more and more..
1. My favorite knit and hat lately / We went to Big bear the other weekend. It’s been so long!
2. Omar is a great snow border. I’m an awful skier / Love morning sunshine reflected on roses

4. I’m working on new designs for akrDesignStudio / Apple cinnamon toast with maple syrup

We needed to get a greeting card display for the first show akrDeisngStudio attended last weekend (we had so much fun!). Although I had exact design in my mind, I couldn’t find anything I liked on the web stores. Then I found this amazing blog post (thank you x100), and decided to make it ~~myself~~ with my great husband’s help. We got almost exactly same stuff at Home Depot, and painted black instead. The result? I absolutely love it! This is exactly what I pictured, and I can’t wait to use it for upcoming shows as well. P.S this is the booth we set up for the show

先週末akrDesignStudioが始めてショーに出展しました。メインになるカードディスプレイを探してたけどいいのが見つからず、どうしようかと思ってた時にこのブログを発見して同じ様に作ってみました。買ってきた木材を決めた大きさに切って木材用ののりでくっつけた後スプレー缶で黒に塗りました(簡単に言うと..)。始めこんなの自分で作るなんて無理無理と諦めてたけどオマーに簡単と言われやってみてよかった! 難関の木材を切る所ははオマーがやってくれて(ありがと~!) 後は何とか自分でやってみました。思い描いてた通りのディスプレイができて大満足☆ これからもずっと使っていく予定です。追伸：気づいたら全体が写ってる写真がなかったけどこれがセットアップしたブースの写真です
