baked vegetable chips
The kale chips I posted before, became the most frequent recipe for us ever since. Omar loves it, especially with his favorite sandwiches. So I decided to make vegetable chips as well. The first time I baked them at 350F, they burned them quickly (and thick ones weren’t crispy at all). After researching a bit, I tried 200-230F and baked for more than an hour. They came out good, but some were not crispy enough. They’re harder than Kale chips, which never fails, but hopefully I’ll get it better next time.
以前載せたケールチップがお気に入りでここに載せた中では一番よく作ってるかも(簡単だし)。オマーも好きでたまにスーパーでケールを見かけては買ってくるので今度は他の野菜も使ってチップスを作ってみました。最初175度位で焼いたら薄いの(特にじゃがいも)はすぐに焦げてしまい、ビート等は生焼け状態だったので、2回目は95度位で1時間以上焼いてみました。薄いのはいい感じにパリパリになって美味しかったけどちょっと厚めに切ったのは中々パリっとならず。。薄く切って低い温度で時間をかけて焼くのがコツの様。後オーブンによっても焼け具合が違うので様子をみつつ試すのがいいかもです。

la eat : little next door
If you follow me via instagram, you probably know that I love brunch on the weekend. So among many choices in LA, my second post of la eat goes to Little Next Door (first post here). This cute french cafe is located trendy west third street and next to the sister restaurant The Next Door (which I haven’t tried yet). I drew more desserts on my illustration *just because I love drawing sweets!, but there are far more brunch/lunch menu choices too. Brie and fig sandwich is my favorite and even tried to copy it at home (it was good but not as much). Anyway I highly recommend this pretty restaurant.
このイラストを描くのに中々時間がかかりご無沙汰になってしまったけどお気に入りレストラン2つ目を載せたいと思います(1つ目はここ)。LAの人気フレンチレストラン/カフェLittle Next Doorはフレンチだけあって可愛いデザートも沢山で(描いてないけどマカロンも充実!)ランチメニューも美味しいっ。エッグベネディクトも人気だけどフィグ&ブリーチーズのサンドイッチがすごく好みで美味しかった。それに店内の雰囲気がすごく可愛い&素敵なのでテラスでのブランチはとってもお勧めです☆

belgian chocolate cake
Ingredients : 9 oz semi-sweet chocolate, 1 cup + 2 tablespoons unsolted butter, 1 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons almond flour (or regular flour), 5 large eggs, powdered sugar for sifting on top
材料 : 9 oz (約255g) セミスイートチョコレート、1カップ+大さじ2 バター、1カップ 砂糖、大さじ3 アーモンドパウダー(or 小麦粉)、卵 5個、上にかける粉砂糖
