Although I didn’t get to go anywhere much during my stay in Japan this time, I had a great time exploring everything around. It included walking around my mom’s neighborhood, shopping at a department store (food sections as you see), managing to meet up with my long time good friends. More photos @akiko-styleimported

今回は祖母のお葬式とその後の手伝いのつもりで帰ったので（大した手伝いできなかった気がするけど）いつもの様に色々出かけたりはしなかったけど、久しぶりに日本の夏を感じれてよかった。愛しの甥っ子君と近所を歩いたりデパート（特に地下！）に買い物に行ったり近くに住む友達にも少しだけ会えて楽しかった☆又夏にも帰りたいなぁっと気持ちが変わった帰国でした

late summer in japan

Haven’t been able to post much lately.. I came to Japan last week unexpectedly as my grandma passed away. It was so sad, but glad I could make it to her funeral. I’ve been helping my mom and all my family are doing good. Thank you for your comments as always, hope I can start visiting back more soon.

先々週祖母が亡くなってしまい日本に帰ってきてます。悲しいけど大往生だった祖母のお葬式に出席できてよかった。訃報を聞いてすぐ帰ってきたのでバタバタで会う約束してた友達数人にだけ連絡して帰ってきちゃったので電話がつながらず心配かけたりして申し訳ない。。ブログも保存してあるのをアップする位でほとんど書けなかったけど数日でアメリカに戻ります

horseshoe bend

Still Arizona photo.. This was taken at Horseshoe bend located near Antelope canyon (previous post), and thought I should post this place too for its amazing view. “Horseshoe bend” is the name for a horseshoe-shaped meander of the Colorado river. Can you tell from this picture? Maybe not.. I’ll try to post more pictures later.

まだアリゾナ写真。ここはホースシューベンドと言う前回載せたアンテロープから車で近くの所でここもすっごく眺めがよかったので載せてみます。駐車場から歩いてすぐと思い水も持たずに歩きだしたら案外遠く2人で脱水症状気味になった所。行く際は水持参で。。馬のヒズメの様に川が曲がってる為ついた名前だそうで迫力だった！相当高いのに柵もなく崖の先で写真を撮るのがちょっと怖かったけど全体像も追って載せてみます。

antelope canyon

How beautiful this place is? Antelope canyon, a few hours drive from Grand canyon national park, is where we most wanted to visit. Because we’ve heard the best time is from around noon to 2pm in the summer time, we were there at noon. Perfect time! The lighting was beyond amazing and I could look at the stone walls for hours.

グランドキャニオンから車で数時間の所にあるアンテロープキャニオンで撮った写真。今回の旅行で一番行きたかった所で予想以上に感動した場所☆ 夏の昼頃（12 – 2pm）が一番光が美しいと聞いてたのでちょうど１２時に。写真の様に色んな場所から光が差してきてすっごく綺麗でした。友達が写真送ってくれたので早速載せてみます。ありがとー☆
